Name:
rosepaean Kristophe Fallon | Nickname - Kris.
Canon: D&D | Juniper Springs aka the Kyleverse.
Canon Point: As he has already referenced several things that have happened in the One-Shot, I am going to approximately pull him from aroundish the time that he and the Party rescued the star-crossed lovers from being used by their prospective families and probably just after a rock was lobbed through the hotel window.
Age: 190 years old.
CRAU: N/A
CRAU Info: N/A
Personal History (OC/Malleable Protags): Kristophe and his twin sister, Shylia were born to Meredy Fallon, in a small picturesque little coastal town by the name of Blue Kukao. They did not know who their father was, just that he was a traveler that been charmed by the town Baker upon his stay there within the fair sea-salted city. When he left the town after a few weeks, it was not without two additional little buns being prepped within the ovens of Bread and Butterflies. The childhood was everything that nourished the soul; they were encouraged to wander and wonder, to pursue their creative fires, and to take joy in the world around them.
Thankfully Kris was able to grow up with his best friend at his side, and together they formed an unstoppable duo. He was the dreamer and she was the doer, and there was absolutely nothing that they could not accomplish when they both set their minds to, both the siblings having a natural charm that won every person who stepped through the doors of their mother's bakery. Eventually Kris took an interest in the family business and studied underneath his mother. In between the time that he spent at the bakery, he also studied as an Acolyte of Persephone, in the hopes of becoming a cleric for her one day.
Kris' own world would change when he made the acquaintance of Thiero Roanoke, a soldier recently stationed in Blue Kukao. The soldier became a staunch fixture in the bakery and it was speculated around town as to what his favorite sweet treat in the bakery was that kept him coming back for more. And Kris would never have had the courage to tell him how he felt if not for the machinations of Shy, whom lived for a good romance (being a follower of Cupid). The town celebrated a whirlwind summer wedding as the son of the local baker married the resident soldier.
Only a few years passed before Thiero was given orders to move fight in the wars a few providences over; there were tears, of course their were tears as well as promises to come back safely from the fighting, so that they could pick up where they had left off-- Kris promising to keep the home fires stoked for his husbands return.
Invariably one could not stop the tread of Winter, for but a year later Kris received notice that his husband had passed away with great honour and glory. That was little comfort to a man who did not see the sense in that which the war brought, and now all he could see was death within it's folds-- brought their for reasons of which Kris could not understand. It was then that he approached, for the first time, his Winter form. It was underneath that form that Persephone accepted him as her cleric, and it was underneath that form that he kissed his mother goodbye, promised his sister that he would leave messages for her within every town that he came across.
And so he traveled as a way to grieve, and it became a pilgrimage for him to find his spring form again so that he could return home and look upon his shared home with Thiero and experience anything other than tears for what he had lost. Though it was 20 years of wandering in his Winter Form before finally he struck up a friendship with a traveling bard by the name of Willow Harper and then agreed that together they should become traveling companions.
And Spring has slowly returned-- flower by flower and leaf by leaf.
Appearance: PB: Nils Verberne here. He has long turquoise hair with flowers and beads tucked into the tresses, there are some braids scattered here and there just wherever creatively he feels like styling them, and eyes that are a darker pink but which are always good-natured in the tonal nuance that shines from them. A bit on the bronze side, mainly from his days spent running across the beach with his sister; though in his winter form he does tend to become paler. 6ft 3in-- and fairly toned for an elf , must be all of the morning exercises that he engages in to keep himself limber and battle-ready.
Fashion-wise, he loves bright colours and you can always spot him in a crowd, that is if you are looking for him. (I am going to be getting art of him pretty soon)
Current Condition: Whole and hearty, also very chill. It's only the fae, yeah? What could possibly go wrong.
Abilities: He enjoys cooking, baking as well as arts and crafts; Give him a blank slate of a house, and he will absolutely turn it into a home. I swear, that's an ability! As much as I would love for him to be a fashion-designer, he's more adept at sewing curtains and making brightly decorated pot-holders and oven mitts then he is at designing fashion.
Listen, one cannot have too many potholders or spatulas.
Also, I get the vibe that he is definitely a quilter.
Inventory: He probably has some candy drops on him (though he will not mind if the Fae steal some of them, no worries-- he can always make more) and he always keeps his wedding ring on his person even though he does not wear it any longer. He also wears a variety of non-magical jewelry with his ears being pierced up the wahoo, a few bracelets of rough leather, and a necklace with little golden pomegranate seed dangling from it (a mark of his devotion to the Goddess Persephone)
Personality: Please pick five (5) of these questions to answer! Please try to keep answers between 100-300 words for each question.
❧ What event has had the biggest impact on your character? In what ways has it changed the way they see others and themselves?: With Eladrin elves, their life experiences are tied closely to the change of their seasons. And growing up, Kris had been so long in spring that it had become almost second nature to him, for he was happy. There were no struggles or a true test to keep him in that season, it just was organic and felt natural. So when he met Thiero, married him and thereby lost> him, those seasons came in rapid succession-- from his marriage, to the autumn of waiting for his husband to return and then the Winter of losing him.
It is really no coincidence that Persephone would not formally accept him as her cleric until he had felt the Winter as keenly as he had the Spring.
Once he had traversed the Seasons, that was when he had been accepted by a true adult by his mother, his sister and the town in general. And even though he is in his Spring form now, there is a maturity and understanding of Time held within those springtime flowers which wasn't during his first go-around.

Sleeping on an unmade bed
Finding out wherever there is comfort there is pain
Only one step away
Like four seasons in one day"

❧ What three adjectives would you use to describe your character and why those three?: Loyal- To those that has earned his respect and love, he would absolutely do anything in the world for them. He will be there through thick and thin, through hardships unimaginable and without ceasing, because that is what friends do for each other, and he cannot fathom a world where people would readily betray another for the sake of power, greed or status. If Kris has absorbed you into his Found Family, you can be sure that he will walk by your side and support you, possibly keep you out of trouble.
Passionate- Kris does have an outwardly passionate personality, it is true. But there is passion sizzling underneath the surface, it is there in the flaky crust of pastry or the passionate care that is given with thought toward making a home for his friends; it is there in those moments where he gets that glimmer in his eyes and he speaks, the rise to his voice as he conveys something that he feels so strongly about that it cannot be contained. Most people cannot intuit this underneath the vibe of calm that typifies generally, but truth is he is the simmer just before the water reaches that boiling point.
-Adaptable- This is something that Kris has had to settle into, and something that circumstances and time could be the only teacher for him. Traveling the way he has, he's had to be open to change and enjoying the moment while understanding that nothing is truly permanent. Plans could change at a moment's notice, weather could fall in torrents-- sunny one day, rainy another; There is also the sudden starts and whims of his traveling companions that he's had to tailor himself to. Just as long as his core values do not get compromised, he's just vibing.
❧ What would you consider their biggest flaw/weakness?: Kris' biggest flaw is that he does not take care of his own needs as much as he sees to the needs of others. Normally his sister being around, she is generally able to bring things to light that he is keeping to himself and thus he had a catalyst to chaos within his twin's bombastic personality. On his own however, he is that mother who endeavors to make sure that all of her children have warm food on the table, and then when she gets to her own meal? It's cold.
This is why he has not said anything to Willow about his feelings. Because he does not consider it important in the grand scheme of thing; he's got what he wants and that is making sure that Will is safe(ish), making certain that he doesn't run headlong into trouble (doesn't entirely work tbh), as long as Will is thriving, then he does not need anything more than that, right? And Kris has no desire to be selfish, but he does have needs and they are buried there underneath the surface and he refuses to acknowledge them or their existence.
❧ What does home mean to your character? When was the last time they were home and how will they deal with being away?: Home is so very important to Kris; his fondest memories come from that home by the sea, of walking into a home filled with the scents of baking after running amuck on the sand lanes with his sister. There is such a visceral feeling that comes when he thinks of home and the concept of, and for the longest time it was a stationary thing of which his feet was rooted to.
And then suddenly as time flowed on, it became a feeling and therefore changed. When Thiero died and he stood in the place where they had lived, he felt how home could metamorphize into merely a structure made of brick and mortar. That is when Kris realized that home was attached to people and feelings rather than a physical coordinate on a map.
It is why he had to leave his home to wander, because he wanted to be able to stand in that place and feel something other than an impossible sense of hiraeth, of longing for a time that he could never go back to. His journey away from home was not to run, but was rather apart of his stage of grief tied to acceptance-- he had to leave home to heal, had to discover the home candle that he carried in his heart, step by step.
❧ What does your character want most, and what do they need most?: Kris wants to take care of others, to show his found family the passionate care that he feels for them, that he would absolutely do anything for them. His fervent is keeping them secure and safe against the bad times, while celebrating with them in all of those victories that make life rewarding.
What he needs though is far more complex than that because it involves stripping away the acts of service inherent in his love language, and down into the meat and marrow of Kris. The Eladrin needs to give himself permission to take control of his own happiness, seizing something that is just for him and not feeling selfish about it; his needs involve facing all of his fears and insecurities so that he can take that autonomy for himself, something that he has never entertained perpetuating (his sister was the matchmaker in the Kris/Thiero romance, because let us face it-- he was a bit shy when it came to his feelings).
It's okay to want something for yourself, Kris. I promise.
